Accounting Assistant

About Role:

Critchfield Mechanical, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join the Accounting and Payroll team in our San Jose Office. As an Accounting Assistant your will, be responsible to provide daily support for the accounting and payroll dept from payroll, entering in AP/AR, Inventory and maintaining employee files. You will own weekly filing, data entry and creating hiring packets. The ideal candidate will have a desire to work in a fast and dynamic environment.

Key Qualifications:

Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in corporate accounting department, Construction Industry preferred

A.S or B.S Degree in Accounting or related field

Knowledgeable in general accounting principles

Experience using Accounting/Payroll System, Sage System a Plus

Proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word and Outlook

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, well-organized and able to work independently and in team

Ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with aptitude in problem solving
