Job Title: Grinder Operator

Job Description

As a Grinder Operator, you will be responsible for performing essential operations on Grinding and Milling machines, which include loading and unloading parts, inspecting parts, preparing and changing wheels, and maintaining equipment. You will also be expected to operate grinders, micrometers, gauges, and various power tools while performing minor maintenance tasks on machines.

Responsibilities

Perform required operations on Grinding/Milling machines, including loading and unloading of parts.

Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met.

Prepare and change grinding wheels as needed.

Clean and perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.

Operate grinders, micrometers, gauges, and various power tools.

Run and maintain the function of two or more machines in a cell.

Perform minor adjustments and maintenance on machinery.Essential Skills

Proficiency in operating grinders and other machinery.

Experience with grinding, deburring, and blueprint reading.

Ability to use calipers and surface grinding equipment.

Knowledge of machine shop operations.Additional Skills & Qualifications

1-5 years' experience in conventional machining, including grinding, milling, drilling, and turning.

Preferred 2+ years of relevant machining experience or education/training.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
