Position Description
The purpose of the Valet Manager is to promote an exceptional customer service experience while ensuring the safety of APC team members, vehicles and the building by monitoring and directing the traffic flow of residents, visitors, guests, vendors and building activities. The Valet Manager will be responsible for opening doors, greeting, and shuttling vehicles. The Valet Manager will be responsible for the safety and security of all vehicles and vehicle keys/fobs/etc, as well as, delegating responsibility to valet parking associates to maintain efficient operations.
Responsibilities
The Valet Manager is responsible for opening vehicle and building doors and greeting all incoming and outgoing residents, guests, visitors, etc.
Valet Manager ensures the safety of building by reporting suspicious activity in the valet area.
Using clear communication skills, the Valet Manager will report and document incoming and outgoing vehicles.
Must have professional interpersonal skills like learning resident names and anticipating their needs while maintaining focusing on their team’s performance and vehicle traffic.
The Valet Manager must be able to interact professionally and effectively with fellow team members, other building vendors and building management.
Ensure vehicle and key inventory is always completed.
This position is responsible for overseeing their team’s performance and to maintain optimal operational service levels.
Requirements:
High School diploma
Valid Driver’s License
Must drive stick shift
1-3 years of Supervisor / Assistant Manager or Manager experience
Experience with basic inventory and revenue operations
Adhere to APC location site Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
High standards for customer service and team accountability
Clear communication skills and ability to multitask. To think preemptively and provide preemptive service
Well-groomed professional appearance
Flexible schedule; ability to provide coverage when needed
Ability to work evening, weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Must be able to stand, sit, walk and run for long periods throughout assigned shift
Must be able to lift up to 30lbs
Physical demands described in this job description must be met to perform essential job functions
All other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience:
High-end residential or hotel experience on an operational level.
Knowledge of valet operations or previous assistant operations manager role.
Previous experience as a Shift Lead / Supervisor / Assistant Manager / Manager in hospitality, retail, security, manufacturing, restaurants, and other industries.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Must be available evenings and weekends and provide coverage for location site as needed.
