Job Title: Embedded Firmware EngineerJob Description
The Embedded Firmware Engineer will define and drive firmware architecture and development flow. This role includes solution design, project scoping, and pre-development planning to support automotive powertrain controls. The Firmware Engineer will also develop control systems throughout the entire product life cycle, including signal processing and modification, instrumentation, GUI, and mobile app integration.
Responsibilities
Define and drive firmware architecture and development flow.
Design solutions and scope projects for automotive powertrain controls.
Plan and support pre-development activities.
Develop control systems from inception through the product life cycle.
Integrate signal processing and modification, instrumentation, GUI, and mobile app features.
Essential Skills
Expertise in firmware development with Embedded C.
Experience in an RTOS environment for over 7 years.
Knowledge of automotive engineering and powertrain controls.
Proficiency in J1979, J1850, ISO9141 standards.
Experience in bare metal development.
Proficiency in C programming.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience with high-level programming languages such as C#, C++, or Python.
Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink.
Experience with automotive communication protocols like CANbus, USB, UDS, LIN, automotive ethernet, and SENT communications.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
