Sr. Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. This position offers the opportunity to provide interim support for the corporate accounting department during a critical period of overlapping maternity leaves. The role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can manage complex accounting tasks and collaborate effectively with international and commercial finance teams. This hybrid position involves working onsite three days per week with flexibility on Fridays.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring all financial reporting and general ledger activities are completed accurately and on time.

• Prepare and oversee commercial accruals and transactions related to trade and consumer activities.

• Collaborate with international business units and commercial finance teams to address cross-functional accounting needs.

• Support financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and assisting the audit team.

• Utilize accounting systems such as SAP and SAP BPC to execute financial tasks efficiently.

• Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations, to maintain accuracy in financial records.

• Create and post journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.

• Assist with project management tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and complexity is handled effectively.

• Provide training and transition support during the onboarding period to ensure seamless integration into the accounting team.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including exposure to auditing processes.

• Proficiency in SAP, SAP BPC, and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and month-end close procedures.

• Experience working with international business operations and cross-functional teams.

• Excellent project management and communication skills.

• Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity with confidence.

• Familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle or Hyperion is a plus.
