Job Title: 2nd Shift - CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team on the 2nd shift. The role involves setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes, specifically working with brands such as Haas and Mazak, and will primarily focus on a Mori Horizontal Mill. The machinist will be responsible for the complete inspection of the first and last pieces using precision measuring tools and will work off of engineering prints. The position requires the ability to edit G&M code directly at the machine, with varied run times from 5 minutes to 3 hours and batch sizes ranging from 5 to 1200 parts. Lifting up to 50 pounds is part of the job, with larger items handled by crane.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, specifically Haas and Mazak brands.
Focus on operating a Mori Horizontal Mill.
Conduct first and last piece inspections using precision measuring tools.
Work off of engineering prints to produce components.
Edit G&M code directly at the machine.
Manage run times from 5 minutes to 3 hours and batch sizes from 5 to 1200 parts.
Lift items up to 50 pounds, using a crane for larger items.Essential Skills
Proficiency in CNC setup and operation.
Experience with lathe and mill operations.
Ability to program and edit G&M code.
Competency in using calipers and micrometers for inspection.
At least 2 years of experience running CNC mills and lathes.Additional Skills & Qualifications
1 year of experience setting up CNC machines.

Work Environment
The role is based on the 2nd shift, running from 3 pm to 1:30 am, Monday through Thursday, with optional overtime on Fridays. There are 18 people in the machining team, contributing to a collaborative and positive atmosphere.

This is a Permanent position based out of Evansville, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $50000.00/yr.
