Data Center Facilities Operations Control Engineer

Location: 100% Remote (UK-based only)

Contract: 6-Month Contract

Rate: Up to £55/hr

What You'll Be Doing:

Oversee disaster recovery testing in line with strict data center standards

Own and deliver high-impact, cross-functional projects with business-critical outcomes

Manage and report on key operational metrics and performance indicators

Conduct risk assessments and ensure full compliance with internal and external regulations

Act as the lead point of contact during annual audits, ensuring all deliverables are tracked and met

Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization across operations workflows

Drive transformation by scoping, planning, and executing improvement initiatives

Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders

Mentor and coach Network Operations teams on tooling, systems, and operational excellence

Contribute to broader infrastructure strategy, including on-prem, hybrid, and cloud models

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field

OR 5–10 years of hands-on experience in operations, engineering, or team leadership

Strong experience in enterprise network infrastructure : design, deployment, and maintenance

Demonstrated ability to manage complex, quick-turn projects with confidence and clarity

Clear, structured communication style and ability to present technical insights to broad audiences

Experience working in regulated, audit-driven environments

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook

Proactive, autonomous work style with excellent judgment under pressure

Some travel may be required
