Job Description

Grider Support Services, LLC is a proud partner of Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) and is dedicated to providing high-quality patient-centered care to our community.

We are seeking a Manager of Billing and Coding to oversee billing operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and lead a team to optimize the revenue cycle. Key responsibilities include staff management, billing trend analysis, claim submissions, AR oversight, and collaboration with stakeholders to resolve patient accounts. The role also involves quality assurance, training, and ensuring excellent customer service across the organization.

Location: 462 Grider Street Buffalo, NY and 30 North Union Road Williamsville, NY

Department: Corporate - RCM

Shift: Full-Time Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Duties

Maintain compliance with financial, operational, billing and coding policies and procedures that support an efficient revenue cycle: as well as government regulatory bodies;

Monitor staff performance and provide education, training, tools and support necessary to perform duties;

Analyze, identify, and respond to billing trends and corrective action plans;

Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes;

Continuous oversight and streaming of the billing process;

Works with other billing entities to ensure denials are managed appropriately

Manages and monitors timely submission of claims

Responsible for overall management of AR with vendor if applicable’

Professional development, team management and team building;

Facilitate the efficient onboarding of new providers and team members;

Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and other entities including with ECMC staff for full circle resolution of patient accounts;

Deliver exemplary customer service in order to provide a positive experience across the organization;

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, required

Current CPC, CCS, RHIA or RHIT certification, preferred

Experience:

7+ years of progressive billing and coding experience, required

2+ years of management experience, preferred

Skills & Competencies:

Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology, required

Experience working in EMR system, required

Advanced knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCC, and other coding sets, required

Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills required, along with professional communication skills
