What You'll Be Doing

Develop and champion the overall vision and strategy for DataOps and DevOps, with a strong emphasis on leveraging AI for optimization and automation.

Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams of data engineers, DevOps engineers, and related specialists.

Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines and infrastructure to support significant team expansion.

Establish and enforce best practices for CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and incident response.

Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and analytics teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery.

Drive the adoption of modern technologies and methodologies to optimize performance and efficiency.

Lead the re-engineering of efficiently coded MVP products into the platform DevOps for greater efficiency.

Support training and education systems to empower less experienced developers with built-in testing and new AI tools.

Actively participate in strategic planning, contributing to the company's long-term vision.

You'll Bring

Typically, 15+ years of progressive experience in technology, with significant leadership roles in data engineering, DevOps, or related areas.

A strong track record of building and scaling technical teams, ideally up to 50-100 individuals.

Deep expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), data technologies, and automation tools.

Recent, demonstrable experience in adopting, exploring, and successfully using AI, including RAGs, CAGs, and KAGs.

Proven ability to drive organizational change and implement best practices.

Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills across all levels of an organization.

An embrace of the "citizen programmer" concept and the ability to foster a culture where more people can prototype and push out solutions.

The ability to attract and retain top-level talent, building a high-performing organization.

Location: While this position is remote, we prefer candidates in the Denver Tech Center area to help create a center of excellence around AI and development capabilities. Cincinnati is another preferred location. We prioritize talent, so we are flexible and open to candidates in the Bay Area willing to relocate or remain there.

Compensation: Strong base salary, bonus opportunity, comprehensive benefits, and equity.
