The Development Integration & Test Lead is responsible for leading the integration and test of a wide range of training solutions for a 5th generation fixed-wing fighter program across domestic and foreign partner fielding sites. This includes the support for verification and validation of new equipment integration into existing training system suites and defining and executing a test architecture to help ensure low-risk deployments across a controlled set of training systems’ computational and interface equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform unit, functional, system, integration, and use case testing on various levels of fidelity training systems and common software interfaces.
Develop, execute and brief test plans and procedures in accordance with JFTI & USG Program Manager guidance and developmental roadmap.
Issue Software Test Release Report for every deployed software version.
Work with Blue Force Pilot team to schedule independent V&V of systems, record feedback and help track deficiencies.
Develop and document strategies for distributed training initiatives, including the long-range goal of hosting training exercises.
Develop and document strategies for new interoperability for the family of training solutions.
Analyze and understand the development environment, architecture, and interdependencies to determine and apply appropriate test methodologies and cases relative to applications being tested.
Use the defect tracking and test case management systems to document test sets, record defects, and record test case execution results.
Work with the software engineers to troubleshoot and remediate issues in development, test, and production environments.
Investigate alternatives and technologies to improve test coverage and test automation.
Provide analysis, planning, and management support for all test and integration areas, including tracking system versions with Configuration Manager.
Oversee on-site system repository for all system updates, software releases and customer artifacts.
Oversee the coordination of all SIL activities, to include coordination of system demonstrations.
Work with the Change Control Board (CCB) to prioritize integration and testing activities.
Develop, revise, and maintain various integration setup and test results documents.
Provide system fielding support at training system deployment sites (CONUS/OCONUS).
Support various other Joint USN/USAF programs as needed.
