Job Summary:
The Die Setter in an automotive parts manufacturing company typically involves responsibilities related to the setup, maintenance, and operation of various equipment used in the manufacturing process.
Overall, the die Setter plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment, optimizing production processes, and contributing to the overall success of the automotive parts manufacturing company.
2nd Shift (3pm-11pm)
Job Responsibilities:
Hoist operation, to pull and set molds
Ability to perform all material handling duties
Ability to perform / troubleshoot all back side set up duties
Install hot runner cables, set up and verify
Install EOAT, load robot program
Load and verify process to set up check list
Assures cell layout matches blue book
Completion of set up check list
Ability to purge new material in preparation to start up
Ability to perform simple start-ups, under direction of Process Tech
Assures all components / materials from previous job has been removed from area
Verifies housekeeping is completed prior to press start up
Job Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Skills & Experience
Previous work experience in manufacturing, automotive, or related industries.
Equipment Operation Experience: Familiarity with the operation of manufacturing equipment and tools relevant to the specific industry is often preferred.
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills are essential for this role. Candidates should have a good understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions is crucial for success in this role.
Attention to Detail: Technicians must pay close attention to detail to ensure that equipment is set up correctly and maintained according to specifications.
Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential. Technicians must be aware of safety protocols and regulations and follow them rigorously to prevent accidents or injuries.
Ability to Work in a Team: Technicians often work as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. The ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers and contribute to a positive work culture is valuable.
Continuous Improvement Experience: Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing can be an asset.
