Overview Of Role
The Sr. Manager, Procurement & Vendor Management is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing suppliers of raw materials, chemicals, and packaging materials used in the manufacturing process at Miraclon’s US Factory and coordinating with international suppliers and our overseas factory in Japan. Key focus on obtaining the best quality materials at optimal costs while managing target inventory levels and supervising / managing the plant buyers and coordinating with the factory planning team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for strategic outsourcing, contracts negotiation, budget management, quality supplier reviews, driving innovation within the supply chain, and vendor governance activities across a wide range of external providers in Miraclon Supply Chain.
This role will report into the Head of Global Procurement and Vendor Management. Moving forward, this role could expand to take on other additional responsibilities in Procurement such as supporting sourcing activities for Equipment Spare Parts, Capital Equipment Expense spending projects, global warehousing and logistic negotiation areas.
Role and Responsibilities
Implement category sourcing plans for Miraclon material supply chain with a focus on quality, value and cost savings
Actively identify potential suppliers of chemicals, raw materials and packaging, assessing their capabilities, quality systems, and technical – cost improvement / growth ability.
Experience working with diverse chemical, film and packaging materials and understanding of global logistic and cost roll up / cost improvement.
Manage the outsourcing/RFX process, vendor selection & qualification with the assistance of factory engineering and R&D engineering.
Negotiate contracts, pricing terms; manage VMI suppliers seeking cost efficiencies
Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain, including supplier disruptions, quality issues, and global freight / logistic challenges.
Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders in Factory, Planning, Logistic, and Finance, as needed to review, amend, negotiate and complete the contracts
Build strong relationship with suppliers and develop a preferred vendor strategy/list
Facilitate vendor governance process by instituting quarterly business review meetings with key suppliers and internal stakeholders as appropriate, based on vendor segmentation
Monitor vendor performance by reviewing score cards, quality incidents, KPIs, SLAs, and risks/issues
Assist and work with senior management on continuous improvement of procurement processes, and special projects

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge And Skills
Minimum BA/BS degree or relevant graduate degree preferred
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a Purchasing / Finance / Procurement / Vendor Management environment
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and independently solve problems in a rapidly changing environment
Proficient user of standard MS Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel)
Strong computer and database skills and Excellent organizational skills
Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage time-sensitive and highly confidential documents
Communicate effectively and articulate complex ideas in an easily understandable way

The pay range for this role is $100,000-$125,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
