We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to join our team in one of our Central Ohio offices. Our Environmental Project Managers are active practitioners in a wide variety of environmental projects in the private and public markets, including the Federal Government. You will work under the guidance of a senior environmental professional and be given every opportunity to advance in your field.
Responsibilities:
Oversee/Conduct Phase II ESA field sampling, data evaluation, and report writing.
Oversee field-sampling activities that could include but are not limited to soil sampling, surface water sampling, groundwater sampling, soil vapor sampling, sediment sampling and stormwater sampling.
Provide environmental and contractor oversight and logging for soil borings and monitoring well installations, using Geoprobe and drill rig methodologies.
Conduct sampling and contractor oversight during underground storage tank (UST) removals sand various remediation projects.
Attend designated meetings and work with a diverse group of colleagues and clients.
Plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload.
Prepare reports and regulatory permits and approvals in compliance with environmental laws.
Manage complex projects across multiple disciplines.
Collaborate across multiple disciplines and with clients to articulate and achieve project goals
Support business development efforts including attending conferences, client meetings, and marketing events.
Qualifications:
BS in Environmental Science, Geology, or related Engineering degree
7+ years of experience performing field sampling activities
2+ years of experience as a project manager
Current OSHA 40-hour certification preferred
RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA, Ohio VAP, and BUSTR experience is highly desired
Michigan and Ohio regulatory experience is highly desired
Technical proficiency with computers and Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent professional interpersonal skills in order to interact directly with clients and handle sensitive and confidential situations
Supervisors skills are a plus but not required.
