About the Role:

The CNC Machinist for Overhaul & Repair in Milling or Turning will play a critical role in ensuring the precision and quality of machined components used in our manufacturing processes. This position involves the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines to produce high-quality parts while adhering to strict specifications and tolerances. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally. Additionally, this role requires collaboration with engineering and production teams to improve processes and enhance product quality. Ultimately, the CNC Machinist will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing operations, ensuring that we meet our production goals and maintain our reputation for excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience as a CNC machinist with a focus on milling and turning.

Strong understanding of CNC programming and machining processes.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, knowledge of fixtures, tooling and machining various metals.

Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality control standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical degree or certification in machining or a related field. MRO or Overhaul & Repair machining experience is preferred.

Understanding of G & M codes

Knowledge of advanced machining techniques and technologies.

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on overhaul and repair.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC milling or turning machines according to general repair operation/specifications for given component repair

Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.

Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include a strong understanding of CNC programming and machining processes, which are essential for setting up and operating the machines effectively. Precision measuring instruments are used daily to ensure that all machined parts meet the required specifications and quality standards. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings is crucial for accurately executing machining tasks. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with CAD/CAM software, enhance the machinist's ability to design and optimize machining processes.
