Job Summary:
The Distribution Center Returns Operator will be responsible for managing and processing returns from customers. This associate will ensure that all returns are processed accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, and that any issues are resolved promptly to maintain customer satisfaction. The role will also involve communicating with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve any return-related issues and to provide updates on the status of returns.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and process customer returns in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Inspect returned items to determine the condition and reason for return.
Accurately record and document all returns in Oracle.
Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve any return-related issues and to provide updates on the status of returns.
Manage the return of defective or damaged products, including coordinating with vendors for repair or replacement.
Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and logistics, to ensure timely and accurate processing of returns.
Participate in inventory management activities, including inventory counts and reconciliations.
Conduct inspections and rework as needed for quarantined material.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment, preferably in a returns processing role.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and document information.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management systems.
Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes and procedures.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
