SUMMARY:

The IT Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the coordination and execution of IT and Operations projects within the organization. This role provides logistical, administrative, and scheduling assistance to ensure that projects are executed in a timely, efficient, and compliant manner. The individual in this role will collaborate with project managers, IT teams, clinical and business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to contribute to the success of technology initiatives that support healthcare operations and patient care delivery.

IN THIS ROLE, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

Assist in the coordination of project schedules, meetings, task assignments, and milestone tracking.

Support documentation of project plans, meeting minutes, action items, risk logs, and decision tracking.

Track and update project status reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) under the direction of a project manager.

Facilitate communication among team members, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure project alignment and transparency.

Participate in issue and risk tracking by documenting and escalating concerns and supporting mitigation plans.

Maintain project-related files, documents, and templates in accordance with organizational standards.

Assist with administrative tasks including calendar management, agenda preparation, and meeting coordination.

Support budget tracking activities for technology implementations or system upgrades.

Coordinate activities involving distributed teams across multiple states and time zones.

Ensure adherence to applicable healthcare privacy and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA) in handling project data and documentation.

Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care, improving operational workflows, and reducing inefficiencies.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

3 years of relevant experience in an IT, administrative, or project support role required; prior experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

Exposure to healthcare privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) or clinical workflows.

Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.

Basic experience with data tracking and project performance reporting.

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES:

Basic understanding of project coordination principles and the project lifecycle.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Jira.

Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.

Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.

Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work setting.

Willingness to learn and apply new tools, processes, and methodologies.

Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
