Job Description
We are seeking a Sr Tax Accountant with a minimum of 8 - 10+ years to join our team! You will be a key part of a small, very successful accounting practice with 30 years of history in the beautiful Berkshires. One of the CPA's will be staying part time thru the next tax season and possibly beyond. This will allow for excellent turn over of clients with this new position. This key role will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records, tax preparation and filings for our client base.Ba
Responsibilities:
Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
Report analysis and findings to management team
Provide standard set of monthly reporting for owner.
Qualifications:
8-10+ Previous experience in accounting and tax preparation
Accounting Degree or designation
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
Detail and deadline-oriented
Strong analytical and problem solving skills are key

Tri-Point has recently acquired a very successful 30+ year old tax practice in the beautiful Berkshires in Western Ma. The 2 very successful long term CPA's are retiring and one will stay on part time with us thru at least the next tax season and possibly longer. In addition there is a jr. staff accountant ( just finished masters program) who has been with us for 2.5 years. We also have an experienced administrative assistant who is very familiar with all of the clients and will be the support to this position as well as the JR. Accountant. We believe in life balance so we also support work schedules that are heavier during tax season and lighter during the summer months if interested.
