Program Manager

Salary range: $123K-$185K

Reporting To:

US Chief Delivery Officer (CDO)

Primary Responsibilities:

The Program Manager (PM) will provide management and leadership direction for the design, development, and manufacturing of new picosat design and other critical programs. Subsystems may include avionics hardware (including Command and Data Handling (C&DH) Units and mission computers), solar cells, electrical power system, RF/antenna design, sensing camera, and propulsion. The PM shall perform the following duties: 1) Manage all activities associated with the Development, Manufacturing, and Qualification Testing for DOD & Aerospace Contracts, 2) support proposal preparation in conjunction with business development personnel, and 3) Determine program requirements, budget and program control mechanisms utilizing Earned Value Techniques to effectively track and measure results, schedules, expenditures, labor and other aspects of the program.

The PM leads a team of about 5-10 engineers and is a primary interface between the customer, corporate team members, and partners providing regular status on achieving assigned program goals and objectives. The individual must be able to plan, organize, and manage multiple programs / projects of varying size and complexity and support the preparation of proposals in response to both commercial and government RFPs including cost, schedule, and technical inputs.

Additional duties may include contract negotiations through contract award, presenting briefings to company and customer management, review and recommending process improvements for existing systems / products at Aitech, and preparation of business cases for new business.

Required Knowledge, Education, and Experience:

5+ years of experience as program or project manager of development programs

Experience with leading innovative brand new technology along with their schedule and budget challenges.

Excellent with building and maintaining budget and schedule (driving on-time delivery and EVMS)

Demonstrated strong team building within program team as well cross-functional teamwork among Engineering, Operations and Quality.

Strong leadership skills with an ability to quickly assimilate new ideas and concepts and make good decisions for the program or project.

Effective at building relationship with customer.

Ability to review customer Purchase Orders and Contract requirements with a focus on the implications for Aitech.

Strong knowledge of Military, Aerospace, and Space programs and requirements.

Experience turning around troubled programs.

Effective written, verbal, presentation and communication skills.

Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Project.

A BS degree in a related field (Engineering discipline preferred)

On-site position.

Recommended Experience:

Experience with aspects of spacecraft design and its subsystems is a plus.

Previous experience on Space Programs specifically with NASA is a plus.

Must be a US Citizen or be authorized to work in the United States.
