Job Type: Full-Time, Rotating Shifts

Salary: $20.21 – $29.31 per hour (Based on experience, skills, and education)

What You’ll do:

· Perform decontamination, sterilization, inspection, and assembly of surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with ANSI/AAMI ST79 standards and manufacturer’s Instructions for Use (IFU).

· Operate and maintain sterilization and decontamination equipment; perform biological monitoring and document sterilizer performance.

· Accurately assemble, label, and organize complex surgical instrument sets; ensure proper use of internal and external sterilization indicators.

· Support urgent needs by prioritizing non-routine instrument/equipment requests; process items from external vendors following IFUs and document accordingly.

· Pick surgical cases accurately based on physician preference sheets; prepare and transport supplies to the operating room.

· Act as a departmental leader in the absence of the supervisor/manager; adjust staff assignments, precept new employees, and provide feedback to leadership.

· Serve as a liaison between the sterile processing and operating room teams; participate in quality improvement and maintain high levels of productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

· Adhere to hospital infection control policies, safety procedures, and mandatory education and health requirements.

What You Bring:

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

· Minimum 5 years of sterile processing experience.

Certification required from one of the following:

· Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)

· Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs.

· Manual dexterity for typing, writing, and filing.

· Able to stand, walk, squat, and use hands for extended periods.

· Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
