Sr. Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a leading company in the logistics industry. The ideal candidate will excel in managing complex financial processes and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

• Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Manage bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash flow reporting.

• Oversee general ledger activities, including reviewing entries for accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end close processes.

• Lead month-end close procedures and ensure timely reporting of financial results.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and prepare reports.

• Collaborate with teams using NetSuite, Clickup, InFor and SAP S4 Hana systems to streamline accounting operations.

• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in all accounting practices.• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on reconciliation and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and journal entries.

• Expertise in month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite and SAP.

• Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and their application.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
