Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Label Machine Operator to join our production team. The Label Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of label machinery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety in line with company standards. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to train others in equipment operation.
Shifts: 1st and 2nd
Monday- Saturdays 6am-6:45pm & 6pm-6:45am
Pay rate: $20-$25/hr DOE
Key Responsibilities for a Lebel Machine Operator:
Operate and monitor label machinery according to safety and quality guidelines.
Access and use Redzone system via iPad to report downtime and communicate issues.
Perform machine setup, changeovers, and adjustments to meet production specs.
Read blueprints and diagrams to properly configure equipment.
Ensure proper labeling and traceability of all products.
Follow and enforce Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) safety procedures.
Maintain accurate production records and complete audits as required.
Conduct quality inspections and package finished goods to customer specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area (5S responsibilities).
Communicate effectively with team members and support continuous improvement efforts.
Follow hazardous material handling protocols as per environmental guidelines.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and mechanical systems.
Knowledge in ERP systems (Redzone) is a plus
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
High attention to detail and focus.
Ability to follow instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures.
Effective communicator in both verbal and written English.
Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player.
Experience with Lock Out Tag Out procedures preferred.
