Fire Alarm and Security Technician

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Low Voltage/Security Installer for commercial security systems including Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm, and Intrusion. Must have electrical/ low voltage experience! Must be able to pull cable, bend a little pipe in commercial environments while maintaining professional work ethic, keeping job site clean and neat while MOST IMPORTANTLY maintaining a positive attitude!

Responsibilities:

Install and repair low voltage and Security equipment and fixtures

Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems

Troubleshoot motor and control systems

Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems

Adhere to all quality and safety codes

Some night work may be necessary on certain projects but is not normal.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in Low Voltage installations of Fiber, Cat 5-6, Coax, Multi-conductor, Etc.

Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals a MUST

Familiarity with electrical equipment, hand tools, and knowledge of proper cable pulling methods.

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Clean driving record, Clean background, Clean drug test

Good work ethic, Works well with others, Willing to travel in NC and SC when need be (25%)
