Position Description:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Operating and troubleshooting warm forging presses toproduce differential gears. Utilizing gauges and visual inspection to ensurethat parts are meeting customer requirements.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilize Hand/power tools
Changing out/Replacing Die Sets
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; usinghoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanicaldevices in operation
Troubleshoots and maintains production equipment, whichincludes hydraulic, mechanic, and pneumatic systems.
Supports the definition and maintenance of equipmentspecifications including pneumatic, hydraulic, and lubrication standards.
Recalibration of Presses
Process Drawings/Print Readings
Adjusting/Verifying Die Heights
Skills Required
Mechanical Aptitude to troubleshoot failures
Forklift Operation
Experience Required
