Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Human Resources Manager to oversee and manage all HR functions, including recruitment, compliance, training, employee relations, and more. This role is critical in supporting our office and field employees and building systems that ensure compliance with all employment and labor regulations. Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

Build and maintain a strong pipeline of skilled construction labor.

Lead recruitment efforts, job postings, and outreach tailored to the Florida construction market.

Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring full compliance with E-Verify, I-9, and other relevant regulations.

Track HR metrics and provide actionable insights on hiring, retention, and compliance.

Training, Development & Evaluations

Manage employee certifications, licenses, and training requirements.

Collaborate with the Safety Manager to align onboarding and training with OSHA standards.

Assist in performance evaluations and the development of improvement plans to support employee growth.

HR Compliance & Documentation

Ensure legal compliance with employee records, policies, and procedures.

Manage termination documentation and facilitate exit processes.

Stay updated on state and federal employment laws to ensure compliance.

Draft and enforce company policies, ensuring consistent application across all teams.

Employee Relations & Communication

Act as the primary HR contact for both office and field teams.

Regularly interact with jobsite leadership to assess labor needs and provide HR support.

Investigate employee complaints and incidents, working with leadership to resolve concerns.

Promote a positive company culture and employee engagement through regular check-ins.

Administrative Leadership

Prepare and document internal meetings and safety committee sessions.

Coordinate company events, training travel, and conference attendance.

Manage the open enrollment period for health insurance and 401(k) plans in coordination with third-party administrators.

Housing & Project Support

Oversee housing arrangements for out-of-town crews, ensuring consistency and cost-effectiveness.

Coordinate housing move-ins/outs, service cancellations, and work with realtors and vendors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration (preferred).

5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in construction or field operations.

Deep knowledge of labor law compliance, I-9/E-Verify, and benefits administration.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Ability to travel to field sites as needed with a valid driver’s license.

Spanish fluency is a strong plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
