An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to provide essential munication support within an elementary school setting. This contract position is located in Minden, NE, where the focus will be on facilitating access to education for students who are deaf or hard of hearing through proficient sign language interpretation.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (e.g., NIC, CI/CT)

Strong understanding of deaf culture and educational practices

Minimum of two years of experience interpreting in educational settings

Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL); additional languages a plus

Excellent interpersonal and munication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students

Responsibilities:

Provide interpretation services for deaf or hard of hearing students in classroom settings

Collaborate with educators to ensure effective munication and support for students

Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities

Create and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and the munity
