Summary of Job Duties:
The Extra Help/Office Assistant provides excellent customer service, assists with front desk operations, and performs a variety of other tasks in the Office of Campus Living. Under the direction of the Finance Manager, this position is responsible for answering phones, interacting with visitors, and performing clerical work such as filing and data entry. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
Degree-seeking UA Little Rock student enrolled in classes at the time of application;
Current UA Little Rock student;
Experience with Microsoft Office;
Eligible to legally work 20 hours per week in the United States.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Customer service experience preferred;
Experience with Google Workspace.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide general office and clerical support to the Director and Assistant Directors for Campus Living;
Ensure all visitors are greeted promptly with a positive, warm attitude;
Provide outstanding customer support to students and guests;
Receive incoming calls, take detailed messages, and direct them appropriately;
Assist with data entry, imaging, and electronic filing utilizing proprietary databases;
Complete the special project task list in a timely and precise manner;
Pick up and deliver documents to UA Little Rock personnel on campus as needed;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work a flexible schedule;
Knowledge of UA Little Rock Campus Living;
Knowledge and understanding of FERPA;
Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing;
Possess a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn;
Ability to maintain a professional, approachable, and positive demeanor.
