The Construction Cost Estimator II will play a vital role in our construction management and cost control teams, primarily focused on a portfolio of projects within the Houston area. This position involves developing cost estimates using preliminary design documents, supporting Project Managers in reviewing contractor proposals, and maintaining a cost database for future planning.

Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or associate degree with relevant experience)
Construction/project management experience with cost estimates in new construction, renovations, and infrastructure
Knowledge and experience utilizing RS Means
Proficiency in Project Management software and financial accounting systems
Familiarity with Procore, Smartsheet, and MS Project is a plus
Strong capabilities in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environment)
Responsibilities
Develop conceptual estimates with minimal assistance using preliminary design documents
Support Project Managers in reviewing contractor change proposals and value engineering solutions
Maintain a cost database leveraging historical project costs
Assist in preparing bid packages and scoping contractor bids
Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and Local Jurisdictions on project objectives and costs
Qualifications
5 years of management experience
3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity within construction
Proven experience in construction/project management with cost estimates
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or associate degree with relevant experience)
