Crankshaft Grinding Operator - $17.00 per hour - Durand, MI

Join a trusted local team that's proud to support American manufacturing! We’re currently seeking a skilled and dependable Crankshaft Grinding Operator to join a production team in Durand, MI. This role involves operating crankshaft grinding machines, performing general labor duties, and using precision measuring tools like calipers to ensure high-quality output.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Previous experience operating crankshaft grinding machinery or experience operating an OD grinder in a machine shop is required

Must be proficient in reading and using calipers and other precision measurement tools

Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of grinding processes

High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Willingness to perform general labor tasks such as material handling, cleanup, and assisting in other production areas

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate crankshaft grinding machinery for production runs

Measure and inspect parts using calipers to verify accuracy and compliance with specifications

Monitor machine operations, making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and productivity

Perform general labor duties including cleaning, staging materials, and supporting other departments as needed

Maintain a clean and safe work environment following all company safety policies

Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals
