Job Description
PURPOSE
Perform tasks to ensure all work instructions related to the machining of SMC products are followed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Adherence to all department work instructions
Ensure the respective area is compliant with 5S standards
Process all necessary paperwork associated with established machining standards
Execute basic to advanced workflow tasks on established SMC systems
Work from SMC blueprints for standard and modified parts and “X” options
Conduct basic preventative maintenance on machines
Basic knowledge of SMC raw material properties
Basic knowledge of SMC products
Applies proper feed and speed rates for individual machines and materials
Work with “Go/No-Go” Gages, Micrometers, Calipers, Comparators, or any other inspection tooling.
Conduct minor editing/modifications to programs for special “X” options
Quality control of parts to ensure dimensions within tolerances
Adherence to all safety rules
Basics knowledge of painting
Adherence to all QA Management system standards
Set-up and Operate all CNC Lathes, Mills, Drills, and Barfed machines
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physical demands require the person to regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
The person is frequently required to climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to hear and talk.
The work environment will expose employees to the following elements: Noise, Heat, Cold, Dust, Lubricants, and Solvents
Must be able to wear a mask for extended periods of time as required when performing the paint essential duties
Must be able to lift 25lbs or greater and follow safety guidelines
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree in a technical related field or equivalent experience
Ability to work well in a team environment
Detail oriented
Ability to effectively communicate
1-3 years prior experience in the Machine Operation field
