Job Description

A client based in Mahwah, NJ is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their group on a contract to full-time basis. The Senior Accountant will be heavily focused on fixed assets, including preparing depreciation and amortization schedules, entering new assets, preparing journal entries, and reconciling the Fixed Assets subledger. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will contribute to routine monthly close activities, such as preparing entries (Prepaids / Accruals), reconciliations, and handling account analysis. Recent experience working in SAP is desirable, and strong advanced Excel skills are a must!

• Proficiency in general ledger management and journal entry preparation.

• Expertise in fixed asset accounting and depreciation methods.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with month-end close procedures and accrual accounting.

• Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

• Ability to conduct thorough account analyses and provide actionable financial insights.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain compliance with financial standards.
