Description
JOB SUMMARY
Assist with all Aquatic operations of the Athletic Department in such a manner to ensure the highest level of success.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching swimming techniques, swimming strokes, and water safety rules to students with varying swimming abilities.
Assisting more experienced swimmers to enhance their swimming abilities.
Assessing the progress of students and adjusting teaching programs accordingly.
Monitoring students to prevent accidents and injuries.
Implementing ground rules for each swim session.
Planning swimming lessons that consider students’ abilities and progressive development.
Identifying incorrect swimming techniques and correcting students accordingly.
Ensuring that the swimming pool and locker rooms are kept clean and tidy.
Assist with supervising of dress code, safety issues and cleanliness of the pool deck. Report anyone consistently breaking house rules.
Assures that customer service standards are consistently attained pertaining to members and guests.
Provide complete biography of his/herself, and availability.
Handle any emergencies that may arise and complete all necessary paperwork.
Complete all administrative tasks given by the H & W Director.
Desk on pool deck will be clear of debris, headphones and personal items at all times.
Makes' recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep of the pool, its equipment and other areas of the club.
Leadership by example, displayed in work and attitude.
Provide daily Private Swim Lesson report including amount billed and member number to H & W Director.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience working as a swim instructor or lifeguard.
CPR, First Aid, and American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or Basic Swim Instructor (BSI) certifications.
