Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Automation Equipment Engineer responsible for the setup, transfer, optimization, and maintenance of both automation and non-automation equipment in our production line. This role involves working closely with multiple teams to ensure seamless equipment functioning, troubleshoot technical issues, and support continuous improvement efforts. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing equipment performance, conducting training, and contributing to production efficiency.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee equipment transfers, and ensuring smooth equipment operation before trial production.
Collaborate with the Department or external suppliers to assess design plans for new automation equipment, ensuring feasibility, compatibility, and proper documentation for materials and layouts.
Evaluate, verify, and accept new automation equipment, assessing safety, operability, stability, and maintainability to ensure optimal performance.
Compile and organize operating and maintenance manuals for new equipment, establishing internal records for maintenance schedules and supporting early-stage upkeep.
Analyze equipment issues and implement solutions to ensure normal production operations. Provide technical support for significant issues beyond the resolution capacity of production ME teams.
Facilitate training for ME staff on equipment operation, maintenance, and repair, enhancing technical skills and monitoring training effectiveness.
Assist with troubleshooting and optimization of non-automation equipment, addressing issues like signal transmission and PLC programming adjustments.
Collaborate with PIE to improve UPH and enhance the overall efficiency of both automation and non-automation equipment.
Conduct audits on project standards, focusing on completion rates, compliance, and quality assurance.
Adapt work responsibilities temporarily based on team dynamics, equipment changes, and workload distribution as needed.
Train line technicians, production staff, and quality personnel on TPM principles to reduce equipment downtime and improve operational efficiency.Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in equipment engineering or automation management within a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with automation equipment and expertise in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues.
Experience in equipment setup, validation, and improvement processes.
Strong problem-solving capabilities for analyzing equipment issues and proposing effective solutions, with experience in process optimization and root-cause analysis.
Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and management, as well as train and support technical teams and operators.
Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and projects, with attention to documentation and maintenance tracking.
Additional Skills: CAD or design software knowledge is a plus for equipment layout planning, along with familiarity with quality and safety standards. Flexibility to adjust job responsibilities based on dynamic production needs.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, lifting, and handling tools as required.
