Swim Lesson Instructor

Job Description

Boar's Head Resort is now accepting applications for seasonal Swim Instructors to join our Sports Club team! As a Swim Instructor, you will be working closely with the Aquatics Manager to determine lesson schedules, emergency procedures, lesson procedures/protocols, paperwork, certificates, and registration.

Some essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

Meet with Aquatics Manager and Swim Lesson Coordinator to review all policies and procedures.

Attend weekly meetings to discuss suggestions, techniques and address customer comments.

Provide excellent customer service in a professional manner according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations.

Maintain a well organized program tracking attendance system, registration and instructor hours/commissions.

Pick-up Lifeguard shifts if qualified and interested.

Act as a substitute for other Instructors when needed.

Teach Private and Group Swimming Lessons while following BHSC protocols, procedures and policies.

In order to be considered, you must meet the following requirements:

Essential

Prior experience in swim lesson instruction.

Good organizational, communication and leadership skills.

Familiarity with swim lesson programs and coordinating registration/attendance, skill sheets and recording instructor hours.

Desirable

Strong swimming abilities.

Prior guest service experience.

Water safety certification.

Lifeguard certification.
