Cloud Practice Leader

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Cloud Practice Leader to drive the growth and maturity of our cloud solutions across compute, storage, networking, security, and managed services. This leadership role will be essential in delivering scalable, secure, and profitable solutions.

This role is primary presales and will be focused on presales engineering, working closely with account managers, technical teams, and customers to scope, design, and position cloud solutions. The ideal candidate is both business-minded and technically fluent, capable of bridging strategy with execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Presales & Solution Design

Collaborate with account managers to scope and architect cloud solutions that address client goals and budgets.

Participate in client-facing discovery sessions, proposal creation, and technical roadmap reviews.

Act as a trusted advisor in technical conversations, presenting cloud strategy, ROI, and deployment best practices.

Practice Leadership & Strategy

Define and execute the roadmap for our cloud services portfolio (IaaS, PaaS, hybrid, and private cloud).

Build and maintain service offerings across computers, storage, networking, and security platforms.

Identify opportunities to form ad hoc delivery teams from existing engineering resources for specific initiatives or client demands.

Lead efforts to standardize delivery frameworks and enhance operational efficiency within the practice.

Service Development & Delivery Oversight

Oversee project delivery to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with best practices.

Maintain and enhance the cloud-related service catalog, deployment templates, and SOPs.

Evaluate opportunities to optimize resource allocation using cross-functional engineers.

Educate and evangelize cloud technology with customers and internal technical resources.

Operations & Team Development

Track key metrics include gross margin, CSAT, service performance, and engineer utilization.

Identify skill gaps and create development plans to ensure engineering talent is aligned with evolving technology demands.

Partner with internal leadership to develop scalable onboarding and training frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

7+ years in IT services, cloud engineering, or architecture, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Expertise in public cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS a plus), enterprise storage, and virtualization (VMware).

Familiar with modern security models, SD-WAN, cloud-native networking, and identity services.

Proficient in pre-sales engineering processes, including SOW writing and technical discovery.

Industry certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, VMware VCP, and similar.
