McBride has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer providing support to the C3C/Kessel Run (KR) Division, which is within the USAF C3BM Directorate. Specifically this will be supporting the Modeling and Simulation group.
This is a full-time position that can be worked out of Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA
Responsibilities
The Air Force Air, Space & Cyberspace Constructive Environment Information Operations Simulation (ACE-IOS) Technical Lead is a key member of Kessel Run Modeling and Simulation Portfolio that collaborates cross-functionally to lead the agile modernization and maintenance of the current suite.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Collaborate with portfolio leadership and Program Manager in critical decision making at the tactical and strategic level from a technical perspective.
Assess and analyze requirements.
Provide technical guidance and oversight.
Technical advocate, work with the team to solve issues/problems
Facilitate coordination between Contractor and users
Pairs with Program Manager regularly to ensure successful implementation of the program’s technical strategy and CNS, including re-alignment of resources and work as necessary to remain on track. Oversees and guides developers and the maintainers in support of sustaining and modernizing the suite
Promote communication to collectively problem-solve
Pair with developers to remove technical blockers and resolve technical challenges
Architect and develop solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact
Define engineering standards and best practices
Advocate for development and implementation of modern, improved technical approaches, fostering a continuous improvement mindset with our engineering staff
Requirements
Qualifications
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret level Clearance
Strong understanding of modeling and simulation methodologies.
Familiar with AOC Weapon System and Intel functions and system.
Experience with various simulation tools and platforms.
Strong technical foundation in software development best practices and processes including Agile development and DevSecOps.
Knowledge of relevant programming languages and databases (e.g., C++, Java, Postgres, DevOps).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in planning, organizing, and managing projects.
Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure quality.
Top Secret clearance, able to obtain and maintain JWICS access
Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues and ensure quality.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: BA/BS Degree
Years of Experience: 10 years of directly related experience with 5 years of experience in a DoD setting
