Primary Purpose:
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Apple and Windows endpoint configurations and user applications across both virtual and physical desktop and mobile environments while ensuring a seamless technology experience for students, teachers, and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
Relevant technical certifications preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Extensive knowledge and experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions supporting iOS, iPadOS, and MacOS, preferably Jamf.
Knowledge and experience implementing and supporting Apple School Manager and Apple Classroom.
Knowledge and experience managing Windows OS utilizing tools such as Microsoft Intune/SCCM.
Knowledge and experience supporting Entra ID, Active Directory, and Group Policies
Proficient with scripting languages such as Bash, Powershell, Python
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
Experience:
Five years of experience with desktop and mobile device policies and configurations
Five years of experience managing Apple OS-based devices and applications
Five years of experience managing Windows-based computers and applications
Previous experience in a K-12 education technology environment a plus
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead the evaluation, selection, and adoption of new mobile technologies, services, and tools to enhance system performance, user experience, and cost-effectiveness.
Design, configure, deploy, and manage Apple devices, including iPads, MacBooks, and AppleTV
Implement and manage MDM solutions to ensure proper device security, updates, and monitoring
Perform baseline image creation and customization of Windows operating system images
Support application packing, deployments, documentation, and release control
Implement and manage endpoint security measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and district policies.
Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to address technical issues and implement new initiatives in accordance with strategic plans.
Work within the change management process to coordinate the release of new software packages, applications, and system updates.
Maintain up-to-date documentation, including diagrams, on all desktop and mobile device environments, including configurations, integrations, components, policies, and processes
Be customer service oriented and maintain a professional approach regarding all district matters
Be adaptable and flexible in acceptance of changes in techniques and procedures
Perform R&D and remain knowledgeable of emerging trends in technology and keep abreast of innovative practices.
Attain and keep current, relevant technology certifications.
Perform special projects, after-hours support and upgrades, and other duties as assigned.
