Job Title: Sr Coordinator, Transportation

Schedule Options:

Your preferred schedule will be discussed during the interview process.

Sunday–Thursday: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Sunday); 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Mon–Thu)

Monday–Friday: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Monday–Friday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Monday–Friday: 7:00 PM – 4:00 AM

Position Summary

The Sr Coordinator, Transportation supports transportation and logistics operations by managing backhaul scheduling, resolving route and driver issues, and ensuring timely and efficient transportation processes. This role plays a key part in optimizing logistics operations, supporting clerical teammates, and communicating across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation:

Respond to driver, sales, and customer inquiries; communicate route updates.

Generate and maintain reports using MS Excel, Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, etc.

Resolve damages and shorts with vendors and drivers; complete related paperwork.

Support training and development of junior clerical staff.

Perform additional transportation-related tasks as needed.

Backhaul & Logistics:

Schedule and coordinate backhaul pick-up appointments.

Communicate dispatch details, service updates, and backhaul information to internal teams.

Research and identify new backhaul opportunities with buyers/replenishment managers.

Ensure cost-effective, compliant, and efficient backhaul execution.

Complete required paperwork and system updates.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required.

3+ years of warehouse administrative, dispatch, or logistics experience.

Dispatch experience is required.

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Ability to work in fast-paced environments and support cross-functional teams.

Occasional exposure to warehouse conditions (cooler/freezer, temps as low as -5 F).

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service Regulations and delivery area geography.

Experience with Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, XATA, Manhattan, PowerDock, or Airclic.
