3rd Shift - Route Runner/Material Handler

Job Summary: The Route Runner/Material Handler performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies.

Duties/Responsibilities: * Delivers WIP (Work in Process) material to various departments to support the manufacturing process * Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify * Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation * Determines method of replenishment utilizing knowledge of procedures and routes * Preparing materials from storage to assembly line * Operates material handling equipment such as part carts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage Required Skills/Abilities: * Oral and written communication skills * Time management and organizational skills to keep track of inter-department deliveries and stay on schedule * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with other employees * Attention to detail * Ability to understand and follow directions * Clerical skills * Basic computer skills * Ability to lift/move heavy objects * Physical stamina Education and Experience: * Requires a high school diploma * Performs work under minimal supervision * Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff Physical Requirements: * Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
