MUST have recent/strong JCI/Metasys experience refers to hands-on work with Johnson Controls Metasys Building Automation System (BAS). In practical terms, someone with JCI/Metasys experience can:
Program and Configure the Metasys software to control HVAC equipment, chillers, AHUs, boilers, VAV boxes, pumps and other mechanical assets.
Commission and Calibrate field controllers and sensorsensuring temperature, pressure and flow readings are accurate and that set-points trigger the right sequences.
Troubleshoot and Repair BAS communications, alarm sequences and network issues so that your building systems stay up and running 24/7.
Optimize Energy Use by developing scheduling, trending and analytics routines in Metasys to drive down utility costs while maintaining occupant comfort.
Integrate with Other Systems (fire, lighting, security) via BACnet, Modbus or LonWorks gatewaysgiving you a single pane of glass for all your mechanical and safety systems.

Job Summary:
We are looking for an HVAC Controls Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize the Building Automation system in new construction and retrofit projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in configuring control systems, troubleshooting performance issues, and ensuring seamless integration of HVAC equipment with automation solutions. This position requires a strong understanding of HVAC principles, control logic, and system networking.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop HVAC control systems for efficient system operation.
Configure and program Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC).
Integrate HVAC controls with third-party systems using protocols such as BACnet, and Modbus.
Perform commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure proper functionality.
Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and field technicians to support system installation.
Analyze system performance and recommend improvements for energy efficiency and optimal climate control.
Provide technical support and training to clients and end-users.
Develop and maintain system documentation, wiring diagrams, and programming logic.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering (or equivalent experience).
5 years of experience in HVAC controls, BAS, or automation systems.
Hands-on experience with PLC programming, control logic, and system networking.
Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC equipment, sensors, and actuators.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and system diagrams.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or similar tools for control system design.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in Niagara AX/N4, Tridium, or other BAS platforms.
Experience with energy management systems (EMS) and demand control strategies.
Knowledge of IoT-based automation and remote monitoring technologies.
