Description
Position Summary: Machine parts to print Operate and preform offsets on Mazaks CNC mills Familiar with GD&T and machine shop prints Inspects all parts for conformance to specifications to print Maintain cleanliness and order in work area Notifies supervision of any problems or delays that may cause a late shipment. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed CNC O.D. grinding experience is a plus Manual Lathes and Mills experience a plus Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Ability to start machine, change tooling, make basic offsets.
Ability to use precision measuring tools, work from drawings and or setup notes.
Setup a family of CNC machines, program a particular family of machines with no assistance examples would be CNC lathes, or CNC mills, or CNC grinders.
Must have basic knowledge of speeds and feeds.
Ability to program machines in various departments.
Mazatrol programming
Create fixtures and work with engineering to develop all appropriate documentation for new product.
Must have Knowledge of SAP.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 years Mazak programming experience on at least one of the following controls T+, Fusion, MT PRO, M32, M+, Fusion, Matrix.
At least 2 years programming CNC grinders.
3 years machine shop environment.
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
Must be able to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating manuals, maintenance manuals and instructions.
Ability to identify issues and take appropriate action to correct the situation, Including notifying supervisor, or maintenance department.
Detailed and quality orientated.
Must be motivated and work with sense of urgency.
Multi-tasking, running, operating more than one machine or required task at a time.
Microsoft Excel and word familiarity preferred but not required.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Safety Glasses and steel/safety toed work boots are required.
Other PPE equipment as required.
Ear plugs in the clean up area
Work Environment:
Manufacturing plant shop environment
Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
Exposure to elements such as odor, hydraulic fluids, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.
