Job Type: 1099 Contract Remote

Caseload: K12 Full School Year

We are seeking a virtual Sign Language Interpreter to work with deaf or hard-of-hearing students throughout Alabama. This is a remote position using secure video conferencing to support student learning and engagement.

Job Duties:

Interpret virtual classroom instruction and school-related interactions

Work with students one-on-one or in group sessions

Collaborate with special education teams and school staff

Maintain accurate service documentation

Qualifications:

EIPA score of 3.5 or higher OR RID certification

Alabama SLI approval or equivalent credential

Previous school-based or pediatric interpreting experience

High comfort level with virtual technology
