Location: Columbus, OH (On-site, some travel to local project sites)

Overview:

We are partnered with a leading building automation and energy solutions company near Columbus, OH, to help fill a key Building Automation Systems Engineer role. This position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced BAS professional to take on both technical and leadership responsibilities in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support the installation, programming, and commissioning of Building Automation Systems (BAS), with a focus on Siemens Desigo platforms.

Serve as a field lead or generalist, coordinating with technicians, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure successful project execution.

Troubleshoot system issues, perform software and hardware diagnostics, and deliver hands-on technical solutions.

Interpret design documents and mechanical plans to develop BAS sequences and control strategies.

Provide on-site and remote support during system startup and commissioning phases.

Maintain clear documentation and communicate project status with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

3–5 years of hands-on experience in Building Automation Systems, preferably with a local Siemens branch or similar integrator.

Strong working knowledge of Siemens Desigo or related BAS platforms.

Ability to take initiative and ownership in the field—this role goes beyond programming and involves being a proactive leader.

Familiarity with HVAC systems, control logic, and construction site practices.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to project sites as needed.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay is based on experience (est 90k-130k). This is a direct hire role offering full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and professional development support.
