Civil-Structural Engineer

Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience in electrical power systems industry.

Oxford Solutions has a direct hire opportunity with our client for a Structural Engineer.

In this role you will provide civil-structural engineering and technical expertise and supervision to a transmission substation engineering and design team.

Overview of Responsibilities

Design structures for power substations

Create and present structural overviews for upcoming projects, and develop reports that include technical details for engineers as well as big-picture analysis and cost estimates for project managers and senior executives

Measure loads and pressures caused by environmental or human influence

Follow construction safety guidelines

Choose appropriate materials based on structural specifications

Prepare and allocate budgets

Track and report on project progress

Collaborate with contractors and project managers Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil or Structural engineering.

5 to 7 year of structural engineering experience in electrical power systems industry

PE license required

Excellent knowledge of construction methods and regulations

AutoCAD experience

Analytical and reasoning ability, math skills, and good judgment for critical operating decisions.
