For our plant in Green Bay (Wisconsin) we are looking for an Application Engineer who will join the Paper & Board division in our Sales team.
Job Description: Application Engineer
Reporting to the General Manager & Sales Director, the candidate will join the Sales team through engineering assistance, design solutions, preparing technical specifications and Customer Quotations. The job requires frequent travel to Customers in the US and Canada and occasional trips to our Headquarters in Lucca, Italy.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
As an Application Engineer, your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Be able to analyze the customer requirements and determine the best performing products and solution identifying their needs.
Work within the Sales team to define improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service in customer paper machine environment.
Serve as a technical resource in the back office and in the field to customers and sales staff regarding company products, proposed solution answering questions verbally and in written form and supplying through technical response, presentation and proposals.
Evaluate and/or perform proposal layout.
Prepare technical specifications and commercial proposals.
Prepare cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, and other professional and technical personnel including inquiries to sub-suppliers for the items or paper machine parts not produced by TT.
Help the after sales for troubleshooting on site if necessary.

Good knowledge of MS-Office and AutoCAD
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plant layouts
Experience in preparing technical proposals and cost estimations
Familiarity with industrial processes in paper machines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and customers

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent paper industry experience
Operative experience Paper & Board business would be a plus
