Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer

Job Title: PCB Layout Engineer

Job Location: Onsite in Long Beach, CA

Contract to Hire: 6 Months

Salary Range: $55–$65 Per Hour (potentially negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Key Responsibilities:

Perform PCB layout and schematic interpretation using Altium Designer

Manage and maintain component libraries with proper revision control

Design complex 2–32 layer boards (digital, analog, power)

Generate fabrication and assembly documents (Gerbers, BOMs, drawings)

Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams for DFM and integration

Conduct DRC/ERC checks and manage design rules

Support process improvement and documentation for PCB development

Must-Have:

5+ years of PCB design and layout experience

Experience in Altium Designer

Hands-on experience with multi-layer PCB design

Nice to Have:

Experience in space/satellite systems

Knowledge of EMI/EMC and thermal layout techniques

Familiarity with IPC standards and high-speed digital design

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
