Design Engineering Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a Design Engineering Manager with a strong background in engineering leadership, product development, welding applications, and regulatory compliance within the metal manufacturing industry.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required

Minimum 5 years of engineering management or supervisory experience

Project management and R&D experience

Background in product design, development, and manufacturing

At least 4 years of experience in a metal manufacturing environment

Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Proficient in problem-solving and root cause analysis

Knowledge of regulatory standards including DOT, ASME, and ISO

Experience with CAD software (AutoDesk/Inventor) and ERP systems

Minimum 5 years of welding experience, particularly with sheet metal and large assemblies

CWI certification preferred

Understanding of ASME pressure vessels and non-code vessels

Responsibilities:

Direct and manage engineering projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards

Develop and oversee product design and development schedules within budget constraints
