Job Title: Senior Program Manager
Location: Denver, CO
Duration: 12+ Month Ongoing Contract (with possibility of future conversion)
Overview: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Program Manager to manage two new high-impact programs for our Fortune 50 Telecommunication client, based in either St. Louis, Denver, or Charlotte. This role is essential due to the influx of new projects and capacity-driven needs and will be a crucial part of building these programs from the ground up, being directly involved in budget and timeline planning, creating roadmaps and program plans, and collaborating with high-level leadership to ensure program strategy aligns with current and future state business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage large-scale IT programs with multiple interrelated projects.
Align projects with broader organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
Establish governance controls and monitor adherence.
Plan and implement project schedules; monitor program progress from inception through delivery.
Define and report on program roadmaps, statuses, development issues, and success metrics.
Identify and proactively manage risks across all projects.
Coordinate resources across multiple projects, ensuring efficient utilization.
Identify opportunities for improving cost, performance, and scheduling.
Build and manage budgets effectively.
Facilitate communication and coordination among project teams.
Engage and manage stakeholders to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Maintain an awareness of industry trends, business conditions, and internal practices impacting projects
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Certifications preferred (PMP, Agile, CSM, SAFE).
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Program Management, particularly in IT programs.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proven experience in budget management and governance control implementation.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination abilities.
In-depth understanding of risk management and program success metrics.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Proficiency in JIRA, MS Project, MS Office Suite, and PowerPoint.
Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and address roadblocks and impediments proactively.
Experience leading large, high-level programs
Technical background working with teams such as software engineers and developers (nice to have)
