As the Program Manager at Fiore and Sons, reporting directly to the Director of Field Operations, you will be at the hub of our project management efforts, ensuring alignment across scores of projects and providing strategic insights to enhance overall operational performance. Your role will involve collaborating closely with Project Managers, analyzing project data, and developing forecasts to assist in resource allocation, schedule optimization, and strategic decision-making. We are looking for an individual who can drive effective communication, optimize operations, and contribute to the long-term success of our organization.

TOTAL COMPENSATION

$129,000.00 to $201,000.00 annually depending on individualized compensation analysis including experience, tenure, skills, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Forecasting: Collaborate with project managers to gather project data and resource needs. Utilize this information to create strategic forecasts, forecast resource and equipment constraints, coordinate proactive resolution of current and future constraints, and eliminate obstacles before they occur.

Resource Optimization: Work with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Heads of Equipment and Transportation departments to identify and provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation across scores of projects to optimize utilization of equipment, crews, and subcontractors.

Schedule Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination among project managers to ensure project schedules are aligned with overall organizational objectives. Identifying resource interdependencies between projects and provide the enterprise view of impacts of project delays on other unrelated projects.

Business Growth: Provide capacity and constraints insights to business development teams to focus sales activities. These insights will enable Business Development to balance growth desires with company’s ability to deliver and avoiding gaps in workload.

Project Start Up: Consult with project teams and support teams on reallocation of equipment to optimize total utilization and reduce project delays caused by resource constraints.

Risk and Opportunities Assessment: Analyze project data to identify potential risks and opportunities. Collaborate with Project teams to mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunities.

Program Performance Tracking: Monitoring and tracking the progress of all projects. Analyze and assess impacts of project performance and changes to identify impacts on other projects and the support teams. Identify opportunities that exist between projects to optimize the financial performance of the organization as a whole. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to realize these opportunities.

Strategic Decision Support: Provide insights and data-driven recommendations to support critical strategic decisions related to project prioritization, resource allocation, and long-term planning.

Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate strategic forecasts, project updates, and insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Present findings in a clear and concise manner to aid decision-making.

Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within project management, operations, and forecasting practices. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement enhancements.

Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in Fiore and Sons’ practices. Implementing best practices and lessons learned to enhance program performance.

Program Closure: Leading the project lessons learned sessions within the program, ensuring all necessary documentation updates and knowledge transfer occurs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven Project Management skills, preferably within Civil Construction, including:

Strong understanding of Project Management principles.

Advanced to Expert proficiency in Microsoft Project Management software.

Ability to understand the interconnectedness between projects.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex problems at a time while tracking progress and reporting regular status updates.

Superior communication, interpersonal, and EQ skills with the ability to communicate issues in a respectful and effective manner with a solutions-oriented mindset and collaborative approach.

Exceptional problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset, including the ability to think outside the box as well as the ability to learn new processes, procedures, and data quickly.

Strategic thinking and a forward-looking approach to decision-making.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Excellent oral and written communications skills. This position requires the ability to communicate politely and proficiently in English with co-workers, customers and the general public. Spanish language skills a plus but not required.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Strong computer skills are mandatory, significant experience and abilities with Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office Suite.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time, including uneven terrain on work sites if needed. Ability to lift 25 lbs. occasionally for office supplies, filing and storage. Ability to manipulate paperwork and read a computer screen, operate computer peripherals and general office equipment for extended durations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily office-based, with varying temperatures and extended screen time.
