Project Engineer

Insight Global is looking for a sharp, entrepreneurial-minded Foundation Engineer to join an innovative ground screw solutions company sitting remote out of Houston, TX or Des Moines, IA. This is a full-time, permanent role with competitive base salary, commission opportunity, and comprehensive benefits.

This in-house engineer will lead the development, deployment, and promotion of this company's ground screw foundation systems. This is a unique opportunity to help lead the technical direction of a growing company while working closely with sales and leadership teams to bring cutting-edge foundation solutions to market. Because this role involves both hands-on engineering and business development, this role offers commission in addition to base salary.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking foundation engineers or structural engineers with at least 5 years of engineering experience, in addition to a sales mindset and willingness to be client-facing. This role will require frequent travel to Des Moines.

Day to day responsibilities:

Serve as the company’s technical authority on ground screw foundation systems

Partner with the sales team to provide technical expertise during client engagements, proposals, and presentations

Lead the development of engineering standards, design tools, and installation guidelines

Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to support project planning and sales

Design and validate custom foundation solutions for diverse applications

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings

Build and eventually lead a high-performing engineering team as the company grows

Required skills and experience:

Active PE (Professional Engineer) license in the U.S.

Degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering

5+ years of experience in foundation design, geotechnical systems, or construction engineering

Proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, and field teams
