Description:

Director of Test & Analytics – Autonomous Vehicle Systems

Are you passionate about building frontier technology that operates in the most challenging environments on Earth? We’re looking for a technically strong, detail-driven Director of Test & Analytics to lead the validation of advanced autonomous systems that operate both above and below the ocean surface.

Why This Role?

Lead Cutting-Edge Tech – Be at the forefront of unmanned maritime robotics, working on the only hybrid surface/underwater platform powered by renewable energy.

High Impact & Ownership – You’ll own the testing lifecycle and play a critical role in ensuring our technology meets rigorous mission requirements.

Cross-Functional Challenge – Collaborate with top engineers in mechanical, electrical, and software systems; shape quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.

On the Water, in the Field – Apply your skills in hands-on environments: operate test vehicles, support real-world demos, and work directly with customers.

Grow a Team – Build and lead the test function, defining processes and mentoring new hires as we scale.

Your Responsibilities:

Develop and execute test plans across autonomous marine vehicle systems.

Analyze test data and identify root causes of technical deficiencies.

Support field missions, vehicle programming, pre- and post-mission testing, and data analysis.

Interface with engineering to translate test feedback into design improvements.

Develop and implement quality control metrics and processes.

Provide customer support and training during product demos and deployment.

Travel up to 15%, including to challenging environments where our systems are deployed.

Requirements:

7+ years in hardware test, QA, or systems validation—ideally with autonomous platforms, robotics, or aerospace/maritime systems.

Deep understanding of electromechanical systems, sensors, and embedded systems troubleshooting.

Hands-on experience operating small boats and navigating on water.

Comfortable with Linux-based tools, schematics, and hardware debugging.

Proven communication skills and strong attention to detail.

US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD clearance and TWIC.

Preferred:

Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.

Experience with underwater or surface drones.

Familiarity with power systems, cable plants, GPS, antennas, and RF comms.
